ABSOLUTE SNOWMOBILE

Operated by RIPOFFS for SUCKERS

www.absolutesnowmobileparts.com

  or  www.dirtcheapparts.com

If you want to be ripped off.. then go ahead and send your money to this place.

It is operated by one Michael J. Lacatena and crew.  He also may goe by John M. Lacatena (perhaps hus legal name) and Magnum (he fancies himself a private investigator- even told me he was a former New York Special Investigator -whatever that is !!)

They DO NOT have a physical address.  But they will gladly take your money using PAYPAL.  You will have no comeback on them.

DON'T BE A SUCKER

For ripoff skidoo, snowmobile, ATV parts and info about the TUG HILL and OLD FORGE areas of NEW YORK..this is definately a site to avoid.  The businesses on the site are legit, and so is the info about snowmobiling trails, groomed trails, rentals, pictures, etc. However, the guy who runs this page is a RIPOFF for all snowmobile parts, ATV Parts.  YOU will pay and never receive your stuff.  BEWARE

For more info or if you have been ripped off by this company...please email me at swhelly@cancom.net   I can give you more info to work with and what you should do next. !!  I sent $90 U. S. to this company and they ignored every email.  But I do have information about this company that might be useful.  For example I may be able to tell you where Michael J. is living:   According to his web domain information in February 2003, he had an address of 3616 Whispering Hills Dr., Chester, NY 10918, telephone (201) 310-3548.   I may have more current info if you email me at swhelly@cancom.net

I am using this site to collect all the information I can about this company.  If you have any information about the company, or this individual, please contact me, especially if you have been ripped off !!

OTHERS WHO HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF ---THEIR COMMENTS

The following are from people who have purchased from Michael Lacatena, John Lacatena or whatever he calls himself nowadays.  The comments are from some of the many people who I have run across since starting this page (March, 2004)

DATED FEB 21, 2005

I thought I was getting this great windshield for my snowmobile, but no, i was ripped off. I gave them around $75 dollars from my paypal account. I kept waiting for my windshield to come in the mail but it never did. I got one email from the customer service and they was it. They said in the email that they had received the payment. If you could help me out, that would be greatly appreciated. From Mitch

I was reading your web page about Absolute Snowmobile with great interest.
I too was ripped off by this guy. I had ordered a windshield for my snowmobile from him in Jan 2004. After a several months of no replies to my e-mails, I had given up hope. By Oct. 2004 I decided that I had enough. I started to send e-mails to all of the "sponsors" he had listed. In the e-mail I had explained my situation and gave my full name, address and telephone number. I also included Absolute Snowmobile.com in the letter to let him know what his sponsors were receiving. Within a few days, He called me and said he lost the order and was sending me a full refund. About a day later, one of his sponsors called me and gave me his cell phone number because they agreed that his contact info should be on the site.
Waiting for a check, I gave him about a week and a half. Still with no check I called him. When he answered I think I caught him off guard. He had explained to me that the check was delayed a few days and was sent out the day before. I waited a couple of more days and still no check.
This is when I decided to call him EVERY day and sometimes a couple time a day. I would always get his voice mail and would leave a message. After about a week of this I was still getting his voice mail so I decided to leave very long messages, never was rude but always let him know that he was NOT delivering on his promises. After two weeks of this I received a check for the full amount. My plan worked because, I think I received a check just to get me off of his back.
I tell everyone to avoid ANY web store that does not have full contact information. I just didn't listen to my own advice. If we ever get snow, I will ride to the places where the web-cams are and let the owner know about the type of person that they are associated with at Absolute Snowmobile.

Thanks for listening,
Robert J. Sheets

This guy has been ripping people off for quite some time now he promised to design a website for a few customers of mine took over a $1000 and never did anything, watch him he definately is a scam artist. ----New York (owner of a significant webpage about snowmobiling in Northern New York)

Why wasn`t anyone ever told about the status of the Guinness ride and t-shirts to the first 100 riders who signed-up? If there was a legit. problem I`m sure everyone would have understood.Because of the way it was handled all trust was lost in Magnum and his website. ---Watertown, New York

I agree, this guy is a criminal. I ordered some stuff from him last year and I got an email from him a few weeks after I placed my order and then nothing. He doesn't return emails; he just takes your money and runs. I'll be sure to call his cell phone tonight! Here is the email he sent me a few weeks after I placed my order...also the last time I got any communication from him.

Thank you for placing an order with AbsoluteSnowmobile. There is a 2 to 4 week delivery time on all orders. Normally you would receive your package within one week of placing an order. Unfortunately there was no way to predict the demand for any item offered on the site. Even though I stocked every item, I was completely sold out the first day the siphons were offered. I even wiped out my distributor of his inventory. I deeply apologize it’s taking additional time to get your order filled. I appreciate the time you spent browsing AbsoluteSnowmobile and placing an order.
Again I apologize for the delay with your order. I’ll get it to you A.S.A.P.
Thank you again for your order!
Sincerely,
Michael Lacatena “Magnum”
