Description: This set of miniature snow goose carvings
was
obtained in the 1970's from Inuit Artist Jebedee Enegoo from
Arctic Bay, NT. They were purchased in Arctic Bay over the space of two
years. Collectors used to fly into Arctic Bay from around
the world to purchase these exact same miniatures during the same
time for up to $500 (not including airfare). Jebedee was
born in 1933 and it is not known if he is still alive. His son can
carve these same style geese, but according to reports they are
not quite the same as those from the father. These carvings can
only be described as "exquisite" and must be appreciated
for the timeless investment value they will bring. Artist:
